Though I would never promote violence, this recipe is what one can refer to as, "killing two birds with one stone." It's oh-so rich and satisfying, perfect to replace that morning cup of joe or that late night snack craving. And, it's the perfect recipe to use that one spice you keep hearing all the miraculous health benefits about but just aren't quite sure how to use it. I'm taking about Turmeric!

I found this recipe idea in the natural health circles and started playing with my own version while traveling in Spain, which is a mixture of what I had on hand and what Indian spices I knew were good together. Once I hit the sweet spot of ingredients and proportions, I was hooked! This little cup of comfort is filled with health benefits that will keep your cells happy and the good vibes flowin'. So, what IS all the craze about turmeric? Turmeric is an Indian spice that has been used for thousands of years and praised for it's health benefits both inside and out! The scientific community is just now proving what the Indians knew all along. Some of it's amazing properties: * Anti-inflammatory * Antioxidant & boosts the body's antioxidant activity * Good for brain health * Cardiovascular health * Helps in diabetes management * May prevent and even treat cancer * Works as an antidepressant * Helps digestive issues * Natural pain reliever No wonder it's called Golden Mylk, huh? Though you will most likely find turmeric in Indian recipes, don't be afraid to experiment and also add it to things like eggs, sprinkled on your avocado toast, and even in hot chocolate! Be sure to consume it with black pepper and some healthy fat to increase it's absorption in the body so you're getting it's max benefits! Ready for one of my favorite ways consume this little miracle worker?
